Why are Metal Prints (printed on aluminum) and Tile Prints tinted or not as sharp as a glossy print?

Metal and Tile prints are made with what is called a sublimation process. Basically the image is printed on transfer paper with special inks and pressed on metal or tiles under high heat and pressure.  The inks vaporize and are infused into the Metal or Tiles. This process is very hard to color correct and if not done with the best equipment, materials and procedures, will create overly green tinted images that are not very sharp.  We use the best available printers, custom color profiles and the highest quality materials and print at ½ speed.  The results are true to the original image colors and breathtakingly sharp and dynamic.
